Inspired by the
This Is New Brighton photography series, which explored intersecting histories hidden in plain sight within the built environment of namesake locations in Sussex and South Africa,
TRIPTYCH:.Brighton extends this dialogue across the Atlantic to Brighton in Barbados. The project brings together creative voices and community from each region, using portraiture to uncover overlooked histories, connections and shared experiences that link these three places and their inhabitants. The first exhibition in the series features the photography of Collective Cultures'
Munya Muchati capturing residents of Brighton, Sussex. The participants have a deep affection for their home town and a desire to discover, imagine and creatively interact with their international counterparts.
